Good looking app that gets work partially done though I have the feeling that the creators are not using their product in real-life projects. Cons Generated code defines elements in terms of their absolute positions. This is a nuisance in many situations. Code must be edited, later, in a separate editor. Also, grouped SVGs are not transformed. Instead, each element of that group is given absolute positions, which means that rotation and scaling transforms applied to said groups — read, later in code — will again not work properly. Pros Nice handling of color management. Saves work. Overall Mixed feeling about this app. More time spent on the UI than on the actual functionality. Not great value for the price but hoping this will improve with time. At this stage makes, but barely, the “it’s okay” grade.

This app is awesome. I love it.

Finally, Ive been waiting for a tool like this for a while. The instant feeback of generated javascript is owesome! Goodbye to the editor-save->browser reload to see what a generated css/javascript looks like. I was able to come up with a basic button canvas and layout for a few mobile screens in less than 30 minutes. To make this app even more usefull for day-to-day use, I would suggest: - flexible assignable shortcuts - working escape button (as of this version the escape button does not close gradient,shadow or any popups) - search colors, gradiens, shadows… by name and then apply them to multiple objects - customizable font in the javascript/html preview - more integration with some popular javascript framewoks Keep up the good work ! Well done, guys. Can i ask for some v.1 features? 1. Pixel and grid snapping. 2. Assignable hotkeys. 3. Multiple Objects/Artboards (for exporting multiple assets and sharing defined colors, gradients, etc.). Love it!

I love this app so much its just that when i put some text box in and i type it in the letters seem a little blurry Id like to have a response on this if it will just change when i put it into the actual app part of it for it is just something that must be fixed in a future update.

This app is by far better then any you can find. While it might cost quite a pretty penny, its all worth it. I make a lot of dashboards for clients, which generally take a week to make due to all the detail, with this app, 1 day to do a weeks work. Combine with xScope and Sublime 2 for my PHP and JS, this combo is unbeatable. I highly recommend this in comparison to say skitch, because this is meant for Web Design and Web Development, and I dont think Skitch is completely made for that purpose, but more just logos etc. I have both, and I like this better then Skitch, I love the live preview, I love the HTML and CSS generation. I just love it all. Even if you are a Pro hard core coder for HTML and CSS, this will shorten the time to make by 10, and possibly look better. Has for me.

This is definitely a great application for any developer that needs to build custom canvas and custom shapes. Couple of things missing that I hope will come to next updates: 1) Support for SVG based copy paste "a la keynote." Keynote and Omingraffle to this extends have a good SVG copy/paste that allow to past SVG content from other tool. For example, select shape in Adobe Illustrator, Cmd C, and then, go to Keynote Cmd V, and you get the vector shape. Same from Keynote to Omnigraffle. This is a big big time saver. Right now, with WebCode app, need to export to SVG file, then, import back. Works but really makes the flow much slower. 2) Ctrl Click on Shapes and Group to make them the only visible item (turning all the others off). Right now, if you just want to show one shape and have many other shapes in the document, you have click on them individually to turn them off. Would be nice to have the Adobe Photoshop way, where a Ctrl or Cmd click will just make this item visible and turn the other off. Clicking again will restor the previous states. 3) Variable extration: This is a little bit harder, but one thing that would be magical would be to allow to set some of the properties "variables" in the generated code, so that the developer can easily parameterized its components. Might become quite complex though. #1 is very important, at least for me. Right now, the import/export workflow is not really working. Need copy/paste. I should be able to copy from WebCode app to Keynote too as a vector shape. [I might edit this review with more ideas after I use it a little bit more]

The app itself is amazing, but I was even more impressed with the ability to copy and paste items from PaintCode to WebCode and BAM! Instant Web AND Objective-C code from the same initial drawings. This not only cuts time off of hand-coding vector graphics, but also removes the learning barrier that might prevent developers from even considering it in the first place. Truly amazing software.

This app is trash. Terrible quality (when used with retina display), works horribly when trying to import svg files built in other apps, and is extremely slow. I really wish I could get my money back.

This is a great app that provides huge help with css and javascript code. I hope the developers continue updating the app.

No rotation of objects, no snapping to grid, no smart alignment guides, but most of all no direct editing of code in the code “preview” window.
